Introduction Missouri is ranked 18th and is located Midwestern United States. Missouri was admitted to the U.S. union in 1820 as the 24th state. As per Missouri’s constitution there exist three branches of government- executive, judicial and legislative. . Legislative functions are granted to the Missouri General Assembly which consists of 163 members representing and 34 Senator Members. The judiciary comprises of the Supreme Court of Missouri with seven judges, the Missouri court of Appeals and 45 circuit courts. The executive authority is led by the Governor of Missouri and includes five other statewide elected officers in which one of the statewide elected officers is held by Democrats.
