Independence : Missouri

Independence is a city in Jackson County and is known as the “Queen City of the Trails". Independence, lies on the south bank of the Missouri River, near the western edge of the state and a few miles east of Kansas City. It covers a total area of 203.2 km² (78.4 mi²).
